Community Builders

Admin

Every setting in the hub, in one place. The GMC side has the hub and Construction; the GMP side has Programming.

Locations

Pick each location's Managing Director, Construction Manager and Training Program Supervisor from Staff. They show on the location page and in Construction and Programming. Estimating keeps its own price factor for each location.

Staff

Everyone at Community Builders, in one list. ADP imports add new people and update job titles. Set each crew member's crew role and location: that's what Construction counts for crew by role, and it's what links them to their skills profile on Construction's Team page. Shared Services people go under Shared Services.

Location is also what each person can see: only their own location. Side decides their tabs: Construction, Programming, or Both for MDs. "Auto" works it out from the Locations panel (MD = both, CM = Construction, supervisor = Programming) or their crew role. Tick Estimating for anyone who should see Estimating.

Crew by role

The bold number is how many active staff have that role at that location, counted from Staff. Use + for planned hires, to see in Construction whether one more person clears the red weeks. Tick "Always subbed" for trades CB never does in-house.

Holidays & shutdowns

Nobody is scheduled on these days in Construction, and they show on every calendar.

Settings

Used by Construction and Programming. Revenue and program targets stay in each section.

Finance

When a job is marked Complete, the people ticked here get a "bill the close-out" to-do on their My page and a notice in the hub.

Fun stuff

Keeping the sections in step

This runs on its own whenever you change something above, and each time you open the hub. After you restore a backup inside Construction or Programming, open Admin and it lines everything back up, bringing in anything new it finds there.

Revenue projections

Upload the FY revenue projection calculator (.xlsx). The hub reads the Monthly Goals sheet, adds the months up into quarters from August, and sets Target A (all funding), Target B (confirmed only) and the crew ceiling for each location. You'll see the numbers before anything changes.

Task codes

The same codes ADP uses on time cards. Estimate lines, job tasks and actual hours will all use them, so estimated and actual hours line up. The code must match ADP exactly; the name is yours to change.

Labour rates

What an hour costs for each job title on the ADP report (for example Lead Hand, General Labourer). Labour cost on each job = its ADP hours by job title × these rates. Only you change them, and only people with money access can see them.

Backup

One file holds everything in the CB Hub: Community, location pages, the shared lists and all three sections. Download one every Friday and keep it somewhere safe. Photos stay in the hub; the backup keeps their links.

Construction settings

The planning window, and Construction's own backup

These used to be on Construction's Crew & locations tab. Locations, crew by role and holidays are set above, so they aren't repeated here.

Behind the build

This hub keeps track of the work. It didn't do any of it.

The work is done by the crews who frame, hang, tape, paint and clean up; the foremen and lead hands who teach while they build; the trainees who show up to learn a trade; the Training Program Supervisors who walk beside them; the office, Finance, HR and Marketing people who keep it all moving; and the clients and partners who trust us with their homes.

Affordable homes, real careers, healthier communities. That's the build. Thank you for being part of it.
